Shipment of identity documents

Artikel

The identity documents you have applied for will be sent to you by the Consulate General. Collection in person is only possible in justified exceptional cases.
Please bring a shipping label to your appointment. To ensure that the label remains valid for as long as possible (up to three months) after you submit your passport application, please obtain the shipping label only shortly before your appointment.
Please note that, according to the experience of the Consulate General, shipping labels issued as QR codes are valid for only 30 days.

We recommend using the services of DHL for shipping.
You can create and print the shipping label yourself. Alternatively, you may have the label printed at a DHL Service Point. In that case, you only need to present the shipping label you purchased online in PDF format; the Service Point staff can then print the label for you. You can find an unofficial guide here
You can find the nearest DHL Service Point to the German Consulate here.

Select either the “Envelope” option without insurance coverage or the “Mailbox Parcel” option with insurance coverage when prompted, and enter your personal details as the recipient. Enable the “Email Notification” option. When asked for the sender’s information, enter your own name and the following mailing address: Honthorststraat 36, 1071 DG Amsterdam.
Use your own email address for both the sender and recipient fields so that you receive all notifications regarding your shipment.
